Udyam Registration also known as MSME Registration is nothing but a government registration that is provided along with a recognition certificate and a unique number. This Certificate state whether Businessman is Micro, Small or Medium enterprise based on the Classification criteria of the MSME. Government Udyam Registration portal is a self-declaration basis portal without adding or uploading any document/ certificate/ paper. As per the notification of the ministry of the MSME, all the existing Indian companies and enterprises shall file and register as Udyam on or before 31st Mar 2021.However this date is further Extended by notification.

Mainly it will applicable to Manufacturing unit or Service Provider, however as per new Amendment It will also covered Traders in its Criteria.
